Food Dining Hime is a welcome addition to Davao City’s vibrant culinary scene, nestled comfortably within Rowi Square along Mamay Road in Lanang. This Japanese restaurant offers a seamless blend of authentic flavors and a relaxed dining experience, ideal for both casual eaters and devoted fans of Japanese cuisine.

The space evokes classic yet inviting Japanese aesthetics, featuring dark wood accents and soft lantern lighting that complement the overall ambiance. Guests can choose from al fresco seating, cozy indoor spots, or the unique omakase counter, which fosters a more intimate interaction between diners and chefs. This versatility caters well to a wide range of patrons—from groups of friends and families to solo diners seeking a curated meal.

Food Dining Hime’s menu shines with a diverse and thoughtfully crafted selection. Standout dishes such as their savory gyoza and hearty gyudon perfectly capture the comforting essence of traditional Japanese fare. Sushi offerings like the Kanikama Tem Maki and California Maki present fresh, well-balanced flavors that appeal even to those new to sushi. Their kushikatsu mix, which combines pork, quail egg, crabstick, cheese, and onion, delivers a satisfying texture and taste experience, showcasing the versatility of Japanese street food.

Additional Asian-inspired options include variations of cha han and stir-fried dishes that maintain a spicy kick without overwhelming the palate. For those seeking something with a little heat, the spicy chicken serves as a flavorful highlight. The mix of traditional and inventive dishes ensures there is something for everyone, whether craving comfort food or an adventurous bite.

Customer reviews often highlight the genuine taste and attentive service, though some note occasional lapses that management might consider addressing to enhance the overall experience. The ability to transition into a bar in the evening adds to the venue’s appeal, offering a social space beyond dining.

In summary, Food Dining Hime excels as a destination for those who appreciate authentic Japanese cuisine served in a warm, versatile setting. Located conveniently in Davao City, it invites guests to savor meticulously prepared dishes that honor tradition while creating a welcoming community atmosphere.

I love Japanese food, and it's always tastes great. I enjoy this place. It's at Damosa in front of Sumo Hotel or near 7 eleven and potato corners. Try to visit the place and give it a try.

It was my first time there. Go thing it was not busy. They offered me the room with air-condition. The staff were so attentive and helpful. I ordered tuna sashimi, katsu don and ebi tempura since buta bara was not yet available. Took a few minutes for my food to be served and it was good. The only downside is the ebi tempura has a raw unmixed flour inside the batter before the shrimp. But the rest was good. Will get back soon to try other dishes in the menu.

On the outside was typical Japanese exterior with dark wood and hanging lanterns. Inside it felt so much more with additional lanterns and posters. Extensive menu selection commensurate with the moderate rates. The lot of the 8 Mix Hime set, Tonkotsu Ramen, and Kanikama Ten Maki was abundantly tasty for two (2). Truly authentic and light on the tongue. Downside was the inattentiveness of staff which Management should look into. An outside restroom. Other than that, this is deserving of another visit. And for those interested this transitions into a bar in the evening.

3 seating choices: al fresco, indoor, and omakase counter. Service was fast and friendly. Food was authentic Japanese.

Good food and great service! Food is affordable and worth the price, I recommend their donburi and yakitori! I like their set-up indoors, which gives a little bit of privacy if you're there for a date. Although their alcohol (Whiskey/Sake/wine) is on the pricey side since it's from Japan, they serve local beers naman. Their servers/waitresses were very accommodating and speak Japanese & Korean too! Would definitely come back for the remaining songs in our karaoke ticket and more alcohol~

Aside from their affordable ramen, what I like is how balance my Tan Tan Men is. Ramen from other Japanese resto comes with very thick/creamy broth which I don’t like as it can lead to umay. I also love their gyoza, perfect for my liking. California Maki didn’t sit well with me though. It’s not bad, I think it’s lacking the sweetness from the mango. Overall, I would recommend this place.
